'The Wine Easily Affected by Temperature Change'

'Seemingly Good Overall Harmony, Quite Disappointing for the Details'

With ruby color close to deep purple, iron smell of alcohol can be picked up right after opening.

It contains various scents at moderate degree; aromas of black fruits, oak, chocolate, soil, licorice, and vanilla. Depending on people, it could feel like having a medium or full body. It has dryness and lingering sweetness. Compared to other wines, the tannin in this wine doesn’t feel strong. However, considering the taste components in the wine, the tannin composition feels relatively high. Overall, the wine is smooth, and there is quite an amount of acidity at the finish.

The advantage of the wine is 'harmony of various scents and flavors,'

yet, the disadvantage is that ‘the harmony gets easily ruined by the temperature.’

At low temperature, spiciness stands out and alcohol scent spikes,

And at high temperature, either vanilla and fruits aroma or sweetness gets accentuated.

Sweet desserts won’t be the perfect partners for this wine as it makes the acidity pop out and sort of ruins the overall scent. On the other hand, roasted meat heightens the wine’s merit.

The wine is not a bad choice for a casual dinner or get together. In my personal opinion, there still are many other wines of good quality in the similar price range. It will definitely not make it on to my shopping list anytime soon.

-Wine Maker's Note

Intense and bright red in colour with violet tones and great depth. The wine's aromas are intense and unfold with the spice and floral notes very characteristic of the Uco Valley. They're joined by notes of black fruit such as blueberry and blackberry, typical of the variety. The wine has lots of structure, smooth tannins, and a long, fresh, and complex finish. The fruit notes reappear on the palate, giving way to touches of rosemary, thyme, and dried flowers.
