Before tasting, dried fruit scent, either of apple or apricot, surrounded by seemingly bountiful butterfat can be noted. Its smell is easily comprehensible. The scent of fruits in oak or unripen fruit is perceptible if the olfactory sensors grow used to it. However, they are barely noticeable unless plenty of time is spent on the smell.
The taste consists of refreshing fruits, moderate sweetness, and behind them is a nutty savor. The appeal is the combination of fruit and sweetness. Light spiciness in the tasting lingers to the finish. The whisky feels comfortable enough to keep it for long in the mouth. Also, the alteration of flavors from fruits to nutty can be sensed depending on the degree of tiredness of taste buds.
What is noteworthy is the nutty and rich buttery smell after sipping. With it, the dried fruit scent decreases in smell. In addition, the refreshing fruit aroma could be appreciated, too. The change of detected flavor is hardly noticeable before sipping.
The refreshing fruity flavor mentioned above doesn't exist at the finish. Also, there is a kind of nutty bitterness at the finish but at a very subtle degree to a point that it might go undetected unless one has highly sensitive taste buds.
