In general, easily accessible tequila and vodka are thought to be strong liquors with high alcohol composition, which makes them both desirable to get quickly drunk.
Patron Anejo is an improved version of the average tequila. The agave scent is far smoother than Jose Cuervo, and an oak scent can be picked up on the side.
While drinking, the smooth feature remains. Jose Cuervo has strong agave scents and alcoholic taste that can make some frown, however, Patron Anejo feels smooth when swallowing and the oak scents can be appreciated at the finish. The common feature of warming in tequila also exits in Patron Anejo. The overall impression is that it is so smooth that anybody can enjoy it and some may feel the freshness.
Some down points are that Tequila Sunrise, the distinctive hang-over trait, also exists in the product. Besides, considering that tequilas are targeted for parties, ‘shot glass’ would better suit, but not ‘nosing glass.’ Quite frankly, some of the favors listed in tasting notes weren’t felt. I would not recommend it to people who consume liquor for its scents and tastes as it lacks the depth of flavor when compared with single malt whisky. It is even so due to its high regular price if not discounted.
Overall, it won’t be the best choice for whisky lovers but it could be a perfect fit for those seeking a smooth spirit for parties.
